Chief Scientist, International Medical Instruments, Inc. (Toronto)
Director of the Institute for Scientific Basis of Alternative Medicine.
DR.NATASHA SALANSKY, Ph.D., D.Ac. (Maiden name Filonenko) accomplished
her Ph.D. degree in laser physics at the Institute of
Nuclear Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences under the
guidance of academician Roald Sagdeev, a former Head of
Russian Space Program and a scientific advisor to Mikhail
Gorbachev. She holds a degree in Clinical Acupuncture from
the Canadian School of Natural Health Sciences and a degree
in Naturopathy (Alternative & Complimentary Health Care)
from Moscow Health University. Dr. N.
Salansky has been conducting research in the areas of
photobiological effects induced by lasers and monochromatic
light in cell cultures, animals, as well as in clinical
applications. Her research has been supported by the
Canadian Department of National Defence, DCIEM, McMaster
University, as well as private funds. The main focus of her
research was on increasing efficacy and improving delivery
systems of Low Energy Photonic and Laser Therapy (LEPT) for
numerous clinical applications including acute and chronic
wound healing, chronic pain, and repetitive strain injuries. Her
research (jointly with Dr. Norman Salansky) culminated in
the development of Drs. Salansky Clinical Protocols for LEPT
and LEP2000 Multi-Modality Therapeutic System for numerous
applications in rehabilitation medicine. Ongoing clinical
research (including double blind studies) suggests high
efficacy of Drs. Salansky Clinical Protocols for chronic
skin ulcers, pain, degenerative diseases (like “frozen
shoulder”), and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr.
Salansky is a practicing clinician and assisted to many
patients in full recovery from chronic pain, fibromyalgia,
and chronic skin ulcers being able to prevent amputations in
some cases. Dr. Salansky is a consultant to Toronto
hospitals on the use of LEPT in rehabilitation medicine.
Since 1992, she has been providing training courses on the
use of LEPT to physicians, physiotherapists, and other
health practitioners. Dr. N.
Salansky is an author of over 60 scientific publications and
a book. She holds (jointly with Dr. Norman Salansky) 2 USA
patents. She has been invited to speak to international
conferences including WALT congresses and NATO Military
Medicine Symposium.
