Dr. ZLATKO SIMUNOVIC, M.D., F.M.H., Specialist in Anesthesiology, Former Head of Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit, General Hospital Locarno. Director, Pain Clinic - Laser Center, Locarno, Switzerland. Assisted Professor, International Center for University Studies, Lugano, Switzerland.

Founder and the President of Honour of the European Medical Laser Association (EMLA).Education: Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb, Croatia, 1957 General practitioner at the Health Care Center in Opatija, Croatia, 1959-1962.

First year of general surgery residency completed at the General Hospital in Fridrichshafen, Germany and three years at the University Clinic of Zürich in Switzerland, 1962-1966. Residency of anesthesiology and resuscitation was completed at the Canton Hospital of Luzern and at the University Clinics of Basel, Luzern and Geneva, Switzerland, 1966-1969. The final exam from anesthesiology and resuscitation in Geneva, 1969. Swiss federal medical diploma and a specialist FMH (Foederatio Medicorum Helveticorum), 1977. He is editor and cordinating author of Trilogy: Lasers and medicine,surgery, dentistry and veterinary and the 4th book with updates  (www.lasermedico.ch) and also a member of numerous organizations world-wide.
